

Michael F. Dillingham, MD, has over 30 years of experience in sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, and physical rehabilitation. He is currently serving patients throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
Dr. Dillingham began his professional career as a team physician for the San Francisco Forty-Niners of the National Football League. After 25 years and four Super Bowls, Dr. Dillingham joined the San Francisco Giants and served as their team physician through three World Series.
While working as a team physician, Dr. Dillingham also co-founded the Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine Associates (SOAR) in San Jose and San Francisco. There, he pioneered the multidisciplinary musculoskeletal group, both in concept and execution, rendering patient care via a true team concept. Dr. Dillingham has also served as the medical director at Stanford Sports Medicine and held the same position at Santa Clara University Athletics.
His background as a team physician in professional, collegiate, and Olympic settings ensures patients receive access to cutting-edge, rehabilitative treatments, and education that can change their lives.
Whenever possible, Dr. Dillingham recommends minimally invasive measures of care. He regularly develops treatment plans for men and women based on their unique lifestyle, health status, and age.
